We offer USDA and custom slaughter and processing.

Please keep in mind:

Hanging Weight: It’s important to understand that when a butcher processes your meat from hanging weight to assorted cuts, loss is incurred. An average of 30% loss from hanging weight is normal, and the loss may be higher depending on cuts ordered.

Sustainable practices: Growing and processing meat locally, sustainably and humanely requires more time and labor than industrial production. Humane livestock handling is resource-intensive and physically demanding. The most nutrient dense, highest quality meat possible is more expensive to produce and it is a more valuable product than industrially-produced meat. We only work with farmers who care about the health and wellbeing of their animals. Also we give priority to farmers who are trying to make a business out of small scale meat production. We do not offer religious slaughter services.

Game Processing: Congrats, we are so excited you drew tags to hunt, it took a lot of planning and money to get your kill and we ask that you PLAN AHEAD for processing. If you are heading out to go hunting, call ahead of time to verify we have room and alert us to when you might be dropping off. We will do our best to accommodate but will not receive game outside of business hours if you do not make arrangements in advance.

Must be skinned, clean, and have proper tags in hand. We will refuse any game that is not properly handled.

We don’t always have time to discuss the quality of the carcass you bring us immediately, so you may get an additional charge if it takes more work to prep it than it should. Also, if you gut shot the animal and then chased it 7 miles, you will get back substantially less meat than you think you should. We have to cut away the bloodshot and damaged tissue.

If you would like to turn this into a learning experience, we are happy to host a cutting party for you and seven friends. Darron will run the saw and teach you how to break down your animal and get the cuts you want. This experience can only be done in the evening after our normal business hours.

For game processing start by emailing [email protected] or submitting your question through this website.

Where to start?

Please submit the slaughter application. Once received we will review your request and get you on the schedule.
